Privacy Policy

SQL Kitchen is a personal, non-commercial project for learning SQL. This page explains what it collects and how that data is used. There's no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking anywhere on the site.

What we collect

• If you sign in with Google: your name and a Google account identifier, via Google's own sign-in flow. We verify that sign-in on our server and store your name so we can show it back to you and save your progress. We never see or store your Google password.
• Your learning progress: which exercises you've completed, used to calculate your XP, level, and chef rank.
• If you don't sign in: your progress lives only in your browser's session storage. It's never sent to our servers, and it's lost when you close the browser.

What we don't collect

• No analytics or tracking scripts run on this site.
• No advertising, and your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
• The SQL you write is run to grade your submission and isn't logged or retained afterward.

Cookies

Signing in sets one HttpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in. It isn't used for tracking or advertising, and no other cookies are set.

Data retention & deletion

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. To request that your data be deleted, email kouros.pechlivanidis@gmail.com.

Children

SQL Kitchen isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
